Co Founder & President

Jamey Bowen

Jamey played college lacrosse at Sonoma State. He was a member of Team Canada in Men's Field lacrosse, winning a silver medal. Jamey also represented Canada, in field lacrosse, at the Commonwealth Games. Drafted by the Vancouver Ravens, of the NLL, Jamey went on to play for the Ravens and the Edmonton Rush. He was an assistant coach with the Rush. Most recently Jamey was named Head Coach for the 2018 Alberta Summer Games Bantam Zone 6 Team. Jamey continues to be one of the most successful and experienced box and field lacrosse coaches in Alberta.

Vice President

Michael Seidel

Michael is a product of the West Edmonton Blues Lacrosse Club. He attended the St Francis Xavier Lacrosse Academy and went on to complete a PG year at The Hill Academy. Michael played Junior A lacrosse for the St Albert Miners. He received a scholarship to Robert Morris University NCAA Division 1, where he played LSM for the Colonials. Michael was part of one of the Colonials best seasons to date, winning 11 games. Michael was a captain in his senior year. Drafted first overall in the RMLL senior B draft, Michael went on to play three seasons with Langley Thunder Senior A of the WLA. In 2015 he was drafted 29th overall by the Georgia Swarm of the NLL and was a member of the 2016 Swarm. Michael has coached minor field lacrosse in Pennsylvania and for Apex Lacrosse in Edmonton. Michael is the current captain for the Senior B Beaumont Outlaws.

Erik Turner - Director of Player Development and Training

Apex Lacrosse Club

Erik Turner is a professional lacrosse player for the Colorado Mammoth in the National Lacrosse League and alumni of Cornell Men's Lacrosse.

He began playing lacrosse for the local club in his hometown of St. Albert. During his minor lacrosse career, Erik won multiple city and provincial championships and was selected to represent Alberta at the Canadian National Championships four times. Erik was selected first overall in the RMLL Junior A draft and, during his junior career, scored 273 points in 70 games played.

Through his strong academics and ability in lacrosse, Erik earned a scholarship to the highly prestigious Cornell University to play NCAA Division 1 lacrosse. His career at Cornell included three Ivy League Championships, three NCAA tournament appearances, and one Final Four appearance. He graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree.

After graduating from Cornell, Erik has invested his time in coaching and developing lacrosse athletes. He has held a variety of coaching and administrative positions in lacrosse including Director of Xavier Lacrosse Academy, Instructor at Vimy Lacrosse, Assistant Coach at Westtown Lacrosse, Technical Advisor for the GELC, and Coaching Director for the Edmonton Razorbacks.

Throughout his lacrosse career as an athlete and coach, Erik has played with, learned from, and competed against some of the best lacrosse athletes and coaches in the world. Erik is passionate about providing high-level instruction to every athlete he is able to work with and believes strongly in providing a complete approach to student-athlete development.

Apex Locker Room

Apex has signed athletes to four 16U Club Volleyball teams and one 17U team during our early signing period period.  We also hosted a successful Apex Field Lacrosse Sixes league over the summer.  Our 2024 season for both lacrosse and volleyball has some great opportunities in store for our athletes!
